This amazing hummus is a healthy, quick and easy dip that is good with vegetables, chips, crackers, potatoes, fries, and anything else that is good with dip!
Ingredients
1tbsptahiniOptional
1cupchickpeasCooked chickpeas (drained and cooled) or canned (drained)
1tbsplemon juice and/or lime juice
1tspapple cider vinegar
1/4tspchipotle pepper
1tspsautéed or roasted garlic and onions
2tspsoy sauce
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, pausing as needed to scrape down the sides of the blender jar to ensure all ingredients are incorporated. Add additional lemon juice, 1 tsp at a time, as needed to make the hummus blend smoothly. In a Vitamix, blending should take about 40 seconds on high speed.
Notes
Soy sauce adds a nice flavour and makes the hummus the right consistency to blend smoothly.
