Quick and easy, these quinoa burger patties are healthy and tasty. They have a firm texture that holds together well, and taste great on a bun topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, avocado, and your favorite condiments.
The burgers are made with equal parts cooked quinoa and vital wheat gluten. The mixture is flavored with chopped onions, vegetable broth, smoked paprika, oregano, onion flakes, garlic powder, parsley, thyme, rosemary, and pepper. Only a small amount of vegetable broth is used so the dough is not too moist.
The dough is kneaded and shaped into burgers. The formed quinoa burger patties are browned on each side in a frying pan and then baked for about 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
